2012 Dallas Science Fair- 1st Place

I ranked 1st in my Environmental Sciences category in the Dallas Regional Science Fair. The competition here was quite intense. As this was my first time ever advancing to such a level, I was quite overwhelmed by my victory here once again. I didn't know that my project had what it took to keep moving forward. I realized later on that it was my humanitarian appeal and the practicality of my project for real world implementation that kept it moving forward. Ranking 1st here means that I can now move on to the Texas State science fair, which will take place later this March. I couldn't grasp the grand prize however. The grand prize went to a group of two kids from Plano who did a project on Nuclear Energy. These kids will go straight to the Intel International Science fair. I, on the other hand, have to still win 1st at State, and be in the top 8 projects, before moving on to Internationals. I've got photos of the event, which you can view here: Photos
